Default Indiana Side of Louisville

I haven't seen a whole lot about the Indiana side of Louisville on this forum. Can someone give some kind of idea what that area might be like? I am originally from Cincy and think of Cincy and NKY as one. I know many don't agree with this, especially on the Ohio side, but really what's the difference?

Was that in reference to Southern Indiana or the Ohio-NKY example that I gave?

Regardless, my biggest concern is what are the neighborhoods like? safe/dangerous? clean/ghetto? Diverse/segregated? Upper/lower/middle class? etc. Are they also a good option to live in?

To me, someone that has very little knowledge of Louisville, it seems as though, because of it's location, Indiana would have some incredible views of Louisville. NKY is finally starting to take advantage of that in the Cincy area.

I wasn't specifying which state's pol's could be bought, I'll let every reader suggest which.

In each community of our nation, right now, there seems to be a war going on in far too many predominately black area's. This war is far more dangerous than Viet Nam, Gulf I, Iraq, & Afganistan put together. The word "diverse" does nothing but segregate people to the advantage of self-centered non-conformists, and the economies of an area will playout the crime stats almost perfectly.

Indiana at the Falls of the Ohio is just as much of a mixed bag as the Kentucky side of the river. It's a block by block situation of good, bad, pretty and ugly.

So the answer to all your questions, "maybe". But people who live here in the Louisville Statistical area are generally happy.

In general, all of S Indiana is safe. There are no real ghettos like NKY. They have some nice, urban, historic heighborhoods. They also have some wonderful new suburbs close to downtown and some hills like Floyds Knobs a few miles out overlooking the city. S. Indiana is not as densely developed as NKY, but in general the idea is the same. NKY has really amped up its riverfront, whereas S. Indiana has been much slower in the process, and its riverfront, while nice, is mostly one condo tower, a Sheraton hotel, and a string of local chain restaurants on the river. Downtown Jeffersonville, and now New Albany, area really cleaning up though. Each are getting some nice little shops, and even some condos. There are a couple ambitious plans for New Albany, including a just announced 30 million mixed use, 6 story condo/office/boutique hotel.
