What's going on in Shively, PRP, St Dennis, Buechel, and Okolona is that middle class White residents are leaving in droves for new developments off the Gene Snyder and also to Bullitt and Spencer Counties
Modern day white flight. Are the blacks moving into Okolona from Newburg, or is it becoming more latino?

After watching what happened to California, I wonder why Ky is allowing illegals to proliferate? The white folks in Los Angeles have fled their neighborhoods over and over, for decades, and finally had no place left to go but into the ocean. Now they are heading to other states and finding it's happening all over. Those who will think I am a racist, or exaggerating, will have to deal with it sooner or later. Is everyone clueless, or what?

A quietly developing story is the trouble the new merger Louisville is having gaining population. Estimates show it added only a a few thousand people since 2000, barely more than small towns like Berea or Nicholasville

Although unlikely, IF the new Louisville lost a large amount of population and Lexington gained a lot, Lexington possibly could take the top spot again. I don't think fitting 556,000 people in Fayette Co is going to happen, but 400,000 could happen. If the new Louisville begins losing like the old city has watch out.

If the old city had just maintained it's peak population (370,000), it would still be well ahead of Lexington.

So Louisville had a net positive immigration gain with Fayette by 1,000+? I never would have guessed that

Isn't Louisville cheaper than Lexington? Could that be a reason?
