Hello,

Louisville seems great, but Sperlings Best Places gives the water quality a 13 out of a possible 100. That's very low.

Do you drink the water? Do you just use a fancy water filter? Or do you drink bottled water. Are there any services down there that deliver 5 gallon jugs of spring water at a price that makes sense? How much?

Thanks!

I love the taste of our water, it doesn't have the chlorine taste that other places have.

We have great water - in taste and quality (sorry, couldn't find ranking more recent than 2006).

I drink only tap water. Bottled water is an expensive and polluting hoax. If our water were bad, I guess I'd use a filtering system.

i was wondering the same thing actually. that seemed to be the only negative mark i could find.

i'm not opposed to using a filter...but i was curious.

i've lived in louisville for 5 years or so and i drink tap water exclusively except for juice at breakfast. i think the water here tastes great. when i go to meetings and events that provide free bottled water, i don't like the taste of those.

within the last 2 months, i started using a faucet filter. if you decide to get one, take a look at crystal quest filters. they are the best value on the market.

Hmmmm - Louisville's water always tastes pretty good. I wonder what the low ranking is based on?

I don't ever remember having a problem with it when I lived there, just don't drink it out of the Ohio

Talking Louisville Water Quality

In Louisville we have very high quality water. Most people don't know that tap water is more heavily regulated than bottled water. Furthermore, our kids are getting flouride in the water that doesn't come in the premium bottled water out there on the market.

Check out this link for our water quality report.
