I have even emailed the Okolona Chamber of Commerce, and they haven't even replied to me. I can find NOTHING on a Google search, and would love nothing more to have a picture of the place to validate what I know to be the truth. Can anyone help me out here?
Don't remember the place. You wouldn't be thinking of the old Villa Romano Italian restaurant up Outer Loop across from Knobview Shopping Center, kind of in front of that peddlers mall, would you?

If you're on Facebook, go to the Okolona Historical Society page and ask. I'm sure you'll get your answer. (you may have to join to ask)

Does anyone remember this news story from the mid-late 80's?

A couple of teenage girls disappeared and were presumed to have run away...it turned out they had been kidnapped and were being held captive in the woods. One of the guys and one of the girls were killed. And then I think that the other girl managed to kill the last captor and get away? I'm thinking this was not Jefferson County, but Bullitt or another surrounding county.

I don't know if this actually happened or is some crazy dream I had, or what!
