This isn't so long ago, but does anyone recall that coffee shop in Gemantown, down the hill from Boyds Moving & Storage? I think it was called the Atomic Saucer or something similar, and had a sort of retro theme inside?

I used to like to stop there and having a coffee shop like that in Germantown is sort of missed (by me). I don't recall the years it was open, though...from when to when?

I recall "GES" where you said Romar-Gleeson, catalog showroom on Breckenridge Lane. Was that before "GES"~? I also remember Giant Foods & Davis and Son. But from what I know, Davis and Son is now a real jewelry shop and located off of North Hurstborne Lane and is called "Davis Jewelers". "Evans" is out of the business.

Yeah, I was quite shocked when I visited DC for the first time last spring and came across it. Of course we had to stop and eat!

Also an Ollies Trolley in Cincy, on Liberty Street.

Romar Gleeson used to be on Main Street downtown. I bought my first cassette recorder there back in...when...1972 or 1973?

CSC, AKA "Consolidated", was from Ohio. THey had two locations...in Valley Station/PRP and off Preston. This was a good place to get a cheap suit.

Thinking about it, I do recall Romar Gleeson. I also definitely remember Consolidated. I was a young kid then...and ah, the memories of those places bring back memories.
