Anybody remember Henry's? It was a fast food hamburger restaurant on Cane Run Road in the early 60's. had a smiley face on the sign.

Great topic
I truely remember and miss Shilltoes & Bacon's. I also remember GES....those were the days then. I've been to Toy Tiger a few times, but miss "Troubador" and the place across the street behind them. I forgot that name, but they had foosball (sp) that I played there. Erhler's ice cream was a great place too.

I am originally from Louisville, but I now live in Georgia. I just returned from a trip to Louisville and while I was there, I drove through the old Highland neighborhood - what a great area of Louisville! There are so many neat stores to visit, as well as great restaurants!

There was also a Cape Codder in Okolona on St Rita Drive. It later became Kip's Kove.

does anyone remember a bakery in Louisville called Davis Donuts? One of my fondest childhood memories is the glazed donuts from there. Would have been somewhere from the late 50s to the early 60s.

Bygone Louisville Stores
I truely remember and miss Shilltoes & Bacon's. I also remember GES....those were the days then. I've been to Toy Tiger a few times, but miss "Troubador" and the place across the street behind them. I forgot that name, but they had foosball (sp) that I played there. Erhler's ice cream was a great place too.
does anyone remember a bakery in Louisville called Davis Donuts? One of my fondest childhood memories is the glazed donuts from there. Would have been somewhere from the late 50s to the early 60s.
