Curious will Henderson and western Ky see a huge tourist boom from the eclipse? Are hotels full?

There's not a lot o Kentucky that will see the total eclipse. It's kind of following the Ohio River.

I checked months ago. The hotels in Owensboro and Paducah were anticipating many people and the rates were $400 per night. Don't know if they are fulfilling that dream.

I think it’s a mistake to bet that high on Ky weather I know that.

Most of the people staying in Paducah will be driving up in Illinois where they'll be able to experience the eclipse. If you look at the map I posted above, this part of Kentucky will barely be in the partial part.

All I can say is check the hotel rates. It was insane then. I was trying to get a new hotel near Ky lake to commit to those dates because theirs were standard but they didn’t want to reserve that far in advance.

Looks like it's just skirting the edge of Kentucky.

That's what I've been saying all along. the City of Kuttawa, on Lake Barkley, claim they're supposed to have 94% totality. Not from any of the maps I've seen!
