Hi all,

There's a chance I'll be moving to Louisville in the coming weeks, and I had some questions about which neighborhood(s) might be the best fit.

I'd be working with the city parks, so a short commute downtown would be necessary. I probably couldn't afford much more than 700/month for rent. I'm looking for an area which might be a bit younger (I'm just out of college), and wouldn't mind if I could find an area w/ young professionals/grad students for roommates.

I also have an indoor/outdoor cat, and would like an area with some woods/wildlife for her to explore. Areas that are hipper or have a good bit of character would also be a preference.

So...is it even possible to meet all these conditions?

Also, as a side question - how easy is it for transplants to meet people and develop some kind of a social network in Louisville?

thanks for the help!

agreed on the Highlands. please search my posts. If you have any questions, please PM me. I am a young professional transplant and I love it here. I actually live downtown. It can be clicky but it is easy to meet friends. I notice more and more young transplants each of the four years I have been here.
