Default South side of Louisville

Can someone please tell me about the kind of neighborhood on the south side of Louisville - around a Guest Avenue? To pinpoint it better, one zip code is in the 402.. group Thank you.

402...what? There are 30 zips or so that begin with that in the city alone.

Hazel,

I don't know exactly what you are concerned about, but IMO the Guest Ave area is in a pre-failure zone. I see the area as a place that I would use caution in if buying. Renting is still ok, but I would be careful if considering a long term investment in the area.

Looked it up on google maps-the zip is 40213. E. Indian Trail and Preston Highway looks to be the closest main roads; guestimating as the numbered address wasn't given. But yea,to the OP 402__ doesn't help much

I am sorry. I had to go back for the complete zip code. I should explain better. I am considering moving to Louisville. "Friend of friend" stories do not usually satisfy. So, I came here for more information. A friend has a friend who lives in this area. Therefore, she thought I should select this area. Makes no sense to me as a good reason.

I will be looking for a nice apartment in a quiet area with at least conveninent grocery and pharmacy shopping. Then, hopefully, public transportation as I do not drive. I am not looking for night life or entertainment. I am very much a stay-at-home nowadays.

Does that help to answer my question about the neighborhood? Thank you. Hazel

By the way, is there a setting in here that will always get me an instant notification without having to re-check each time I post. I forgot to check it with my first post. Again, thanks.
