It depends on what you consider Louisville. Most natives don't call the metro area "Louisville" but alot of outsiders do.

What I feel would be important to you and your family is the fact that the Louisville area has so many communities which can offer you nearly any lifestyle or need all but the most extremes require. Unlike NYC with its huge number of Broadway Plays, Concerts, etc, Louisville has a smaller availability of those sophisticated assets, but then Central Park is only a postage stamp compared to all the woods and natural assets of the Louisville area.

I realized later what this sounded like (it was very early) I mean out-of-towners, outsiders sounds bad. My apologies!

Don't worry about that. I didn't take offense.
Everything I hear about Louisville sounds good.
Like I said earlier, my husband and I made a little trip through Louisville and we were very impressed with the city.
Hopefully, sometime soon we will be able to retire there.
We are going to make another trip there soon and take our time looking around. Thanks!'
