I just moved back to Louisville. I am looking for a romantic restaurant. I want to take my husband somewhere nice for his birthday. Any suggestions? I am open to going outside of Louisville as well. Thanks!

If your husband's a redneck he'd probably like Cracker Barrell

Proof on Main is unique, I wouldnt call it romantic but you all would probably enjoy it. Have you thought about Jeff Ruby's or Morton's?

Wrong forum for this question. You need to ask the same question at LouisvilleHotBytes.com forum.

That said, if you want upscale romantic, 610 magnolia cannot be beat, just be prepared for a 200 dollar plus bill. The Oakroom and the English Grill are also amazing. Morton's is an overpriced chain. Proof is my favorite upscale place right now, but it is not really quiet romantic. It is more of a hip, buzzing kind of place. Rivue has amazing views but is overpriced for the quality.

Other options would be Vincenzo's, Buck's, Equus, Corbett's, Cafe Metro, Le Relais, or even Avalon. I am sure I left out many options, especially romantic ethnic places like Mayan Cafe. That said, get on louisvillehotbytes now! You will get much more helpful responses there....

That was a rude thing to say. Oh, never mind. I see why now.

Cracker Barrel has some pretty dang good food but romantic it's not. I guess that makes me a redneck (amongst other things )
