Hey, I'm a 25yo attorney and of indian descent. I'm moving to Louisville and am wondering if there is a decent sized population of indian people my age.

Thanks

i would say you are probably in luck? this is only by mere inspection however. i know of countless of indian people that were in my classes at school. all of them were very smart! and i know a lot of them went to uofl and are in the medical program. this is really not the type of statistical info you are looking, i just know that i do see quite a lot of young indian people around louisville. i'm sure someone can point you more towards a statistical analysis.

Its not like your coastal cities, but there are plenty. I do think there are a few apartment complexes in the east end full of indian young professionals (as stated above), and I always see lots of young indians downtown. I believe many work for Humana. Still, I am unaware of any city, big or small, with a specific area designed for Indian young professionals. I think Louisville should be fine for you. I would go to an Indian grocery or restaurant, of which there are several, and ask them, as they will be more in tune with the Indian community.

I thought we ran the Indians and Tories out of Kentucky back in the late 1700s. I still get pissed about the Blue Licks thing, damned Caldwell.

Greetings,

IMO Hurstbourne Grande apartments are ground zero for the Indian population. The large housing subdivision (called City of Hurstbourne) adjacent to the Grande apartments has many young professional Indian families living there. A common site during the summer is Indian familes walking through the neighborhood. The local Value Market has an aisle devoted to ingredients for making Indian cuisine. You should do very well in this part of town.

Cheers...

Sorry I missed this...the apartments were pretty nice and a great location. Lowe elementary is excellent. IIRC though it feeds Westport Middle and that school has had better days

Of course there is.

I know a smart indian guy who works at Bone-Dry Waterproofing. He's a basement repair specialist. Is that considered a professional?
