LVille1964 is on a distinguished road
We lived in Colorado Springs for several years back in the 90's. Louisville is much different culturally. Have you visited the area for any length of time? I'm also an engineer and would move back to Colorado in a second if I could.

You may want to look at the Barbourmeade area, spring creek, or Wolf Trace. These areas will put you in close proximity of shopping and restaurants, but you will still have privacy. Also, the schools in these areas are pretty good. Hope this helps.
