Question about Hikes Lane/Buechel Area
Hi everybody,
My husband and I are looking at a house that is on Milo Court (If you are heading south on Breckenridge Lane, then turn right on Six Mile Lane, it is in that area) and were wondering what your thoughts are on this area. Is it a safe, low-crime area? We noticed that there are a lot of apartment complexes near this area, but the house is in a more traditional single family home neighborhood. The zip code is 40218, which I saw people voted as unsafe somewhere else on this site. Any advice/opinions is appreciated.
This is my first post, I hope it is okay!

The area that this place is at is more 'East Buechel' if there was such a name. It's east of Bardstown Rd and near Pee Wee and Buechel parks to help others get a frame of reference.
The 40218 zip code includes West Buechel (Newburg Rd and Watterson park areas) which aren't pillars of the community. Good idea is to research the crime in the areas that you have an interest (velocity magainze?). Even go back to the area after looking at the house and ask around (@ fire station or mail carrier) for the perceptions on the neighborhood.

It is 100% safe guaranteed, and very suburban. The area that is sketchy is around Indian Trail west of Newburg road though. If you get a good deal, go for it. It is really closer to Jtown.
