Default Crestwood/Orchard Grass community help

i'm in search of some pretty specific help.

i moved down here about 5 months ago...i live in Orchard Grass Hills. What i am looking for is some information on what to do with yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, etc.).

any suggestions? i've looked online to try to find some information, but have come up with nothing so far.

Orchard Grass Hills is an independent city. This situation often causes the county to withdraw its services to the respective cities & towns around the county. Your best bet is to seek out the mayor or a long time resident to see what is standard fare in the city. Otherwise, about your only option is to haul your refuge to Sligo.

You either leave it in your yard or compost it for your garden. Either way it enriches your grass or your plants and vegetables. Adding it to the trash is irresponsible and unnecessary.

how is me composting it vs. it being composted in a heap of other yard waste irresponsible? as for leaving it in the yard...that would be a lovely idea on a weekly basis...but at the moment i have a full fall of leaves and an overgrown lawn worth of grass. i have no garden either.

thanks for the insight though.

Do you have a corner of your backyard (assuming you have a backyard, of course!) that you could semi-close off? If so, you can easily build a compost "bin" using essentially scrap lumber, or lattice. You'd be surprised how quickly it will compost, and you only have to turn it over ever now and again. You might even be able to sell it as potting mix or mulch....
