Getting discouraged by the job market
I don't know why I'm posting this. Just venting, I suppose. But I am getting so discouraged by the job market in Louisville. My wife and I are desperately trying to relocate to the area but I can't seem to get my foot in the door. I work in the biotech/scientific field.
I realize that the job market is down everywhere. And I apologize for sounding whiny.
Does anyone know of any good job websites for the Louisville area?
Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

Ok, what is your age? Are you looking for a job or a career? Can you come here, work at a job and search to find a career?
Now, a bit of advice to everyone. Stop thinking of yourself as an employee. Start thinking of yourself as a team member. In less than two weeks, the NBA will hold its annual draft. Some teams will be looking for a center, some will want a power forward, and others will actually be looking for a supporting cast. Where do you fit into someone's team? How will you help your team win? What will you do to increase your worth to the team?
I guarantee you a career when you worry first about serving rather than seeking a pay check.

I'd say most of the positions in that field are filled through referrals. I know the University of Louisville helps to attract a great group of Doctors and researchers to the area. Maybe someone you know is already here and can help you out.

Try LouisvilleWorks.com, and of course, careerbuilder.com and Louisville craigslist.
The job market is just not good here at the moment. I've been looking for a few months now, so I feel your pain.

Are you including S. Indiana in your search? If not, you are missing a good clip of the metro. Make sure you hit up all the major univiersities, including the new Purdue tech center at IUS.
