Default Best way to find work in Louisville

My husband and I (and son) are looking to get off Long Island and find a nice area to relocate to. It's been a hard road--he's had some calls in a few states, a few interviews but I find living in one state and wanting to relocate very difficult.

We're not into the materialism or the NY attitude. We just want a quiet life for the three of us. Unfortunately we cannot make it here.

We HAVE to move this summer and I hope Louisville will turn out more lucky for us.

I'd like to hear from folks who moved from other states to Louisville and how they got their jobs? Did you go there without a job? Did your spouse or the breadwinner go and stay for awhile, look for jobs and then you all moved? He's a blue collar worker so it's not like he's vying for 'awesome jobs.' However he has a good solid background in shipping, receiving and stockroom with several years of supervisory experience. (though he'd like NOT to supervise anyone..)

Can anyone suggest any decent employment websites? He;s currently applying for jobs and sending out 'blind resumes.' His resume and letters are very good (I do them myself and I have an English degree/teaching degree).

I also would like part-time teaching work so any more info or a direction from you kind people would be very appreciated.

isn't the UPS world hub in Louisville - did he try there, I would think his background might give him a good fit there.
