Default Psychiatrists in Louisville, KY

Can anyone recommend a good psychiatrist or practice in Louisville, specifically in 40220 or 40222? I currently live across the river and go to Parkview, but this is a far drive and would like to find a caring doc in this area. Thanks!

I wish I had an answer for you but I dont - am thinking about moving to Louisville but haven't done so yet. However, I have thought about posting this very same question where I live in se Florida and did not because I figured I wouldn't get any replies - and trust me, alot more people are seeing (or SHOULD be) shrinks down here than in Louisville. People on City Data (and I LIKE this forum, don't get me wrong) are just reluctant to admit they might need a little help in the mental health arena. My suggestion is to go online and get names and then google for info. There are a few sites where patients rate doctors and also the sites will give you info on where they obtained their education, which hospitals they are affiliated with (as well as rating those hospitals). After almost 5 years of getting substandard medical care I FINALLY found an excellent family doctor this way. I gave up on the shrink, btw, figured as long as I live down here it wouldn't do much good anyway. Good luck to you.
