Default Hopkinsville, Ky

Looking into retiring to Hopkinsville. Is town friendly to northerners? Any comments from people living there would be appreciated. We are also considering Danville, KY, but we think perhaps it is colder and gets more snow than Hopkinsville.

I don't think there is much difference (if any) between climates, or at least not enough to make that the reason for your decision.

I'm not a big fan of Hop-town, but then, I'm a big city snob! Danville has been coming on lately and has Centre College, aka the Harvard of the South. (Said with no sarcasm -- it's an excellent school.) Danville has the advantage of being closer to bigger cities in Louisville and Lexington.

Hopkinsville is in a beautify area, about a half hour or so from Land Between the Lakes. And it's fairly near Nashville with maybe an hour drive.
