Default Moving to Louisville from NJ

Hello,

I am considering a job relocation to Louisville. I am 24, and never lived outside of the east coast! Any feed back on the lives of young professionals, meeting people, a good suberbs (I am female and have a dog to walk at night) would be greatly appreciated.!

thanks

Default Good place to live

The most consistent feedback I get from visitors to the city of Louisville are the fact that people are so nice here. I can say that Houston Acres is a very friendly neighborhood, police patrol daily, and many people take walks every night around the neighborhood. Small houses ideal for 1 person or just married type of couples.

Pretty, you'll love Louisville. Check out Home Page as well as Louisville Mojo: Louisville News, Events, Classifieds, Louisville Blogs, Forums and personals to get plugged into what is going on socially. As far as where to live, it depends on where you are working. The easiest answer is the Highlands for someone your age. I like the Frankfort Ave corridor a bit more though personally.

South, what industry were you working in? You sound very bitter about Louisville and although I don't know you entire situation, the sooner you make your move, the sooner you can get on with being happy. The metro Louisville area is over 1 million strong and there are a VAST MAJORITY who love this city and what it has to offer. For whatever reason, it didn't work for you. Good luck in your next city.
