Hello. Can anyone help me identify some good neighborhoods in or near E'town? I am looking to spend $300-$400 K and like new to newer construction. Neighborhoods with community activities would be great and a pool in the neighborhood would be good too.

Thanks for your help !!

We live in the Shadow Creek/Pine Valley area. We got here in Oct. of 2009. It's a wonderful, newer area with excellent schools. We got a new construction home through Accent Homes, a smaller local builder for an excellent price.

We are arriving in May and are pretty smitten with the Vineland Park subdivision in Vine Grove. Most of it is new construction and it's way under your $300k tag. Can't really help on the community activities or pool.

Vineland Park Subdivision homes for sale, Fort Knox KY real estate, Vine Grove Kentucky houses, new construction, J. Daniels Family Homes, Vista Homes

Hello,

The closest I can get to 300K is 299. Mine is newer construction as in 2006, and if 3400 sq ft. is not too big for you, you will love the home.

Let me know if you want more details.

( HRC headed to Fort Knox ) If you happen to know someone who is headed this way that might be interested in a home on a larger lot (1.44 ac) that has extensive landscaping, a vegetable garden and 12 x 16 garden barn, a small perennial garden with a private patio and a detached 2 story combination woodshop/ art studio (potential in-law or teen retreat), I might have just what they are looking for. The blueprint for the detached building was a 3-car garage with a second floor apartment. One could easily convert it back to its original purpose, if preferred.

When you search online, it is nearly impossible to distinguish a home with these extras from the new-builds on similar size but empty lots. I didn't want to go through the hassle of selling by-owner so the property is listed, but I'm frustrated that it appears to be just another "house on a large lot". It is so much more because my husband and I have spent the last 5 years preparing it to be our place of retirement. Now we have a granddaughter...so we will be moving out of state to be near her. Guess we will start over! We hope to find someone who enjoys the birds, flowering shrubs and trees, vegetable gardening, and maybe needs the extra space in the detached building. I don't know how to make folks aware of the "extras". I know it isn't a place for everyone, but it is definitely THE PLACE for someone.

Thanks for any help you might be for sharing this info with a nature lover. The property address is 204 Retrieve Ct Rineyville KY , a quick and easy 20 min. commute to the post, and can be seen on Realtor.com. We are 6 miles (the opposite direction) to Elizabethtown (Etown). I would be happy to answer any questions or feel free to call the realtor.
