I'm am searching for a cheap landfill. When I was a kid we had them located around town at a few places, it cost you maybe 10 bucks to drop all your trash off. (No I didn't live around here, I lived near the coast and no-one paid for trash services, you just took it to the dump).

I went about three weeks without trash services, it is now piled high in my storage shed. (ID was costing too much for their crappy service, took three weeks before I found a company that I could afford to use).

I'd like to get the stuff cleared out before it heats up and goes to smelling. So if you know of a place and maybe the rates, please list it.

I did search google, but I didn't come across any rates or places for that matter. As I would really like to get some type of ballpark figure.

You'll have to go to southern Indiana. The only landfill in Jefferson county is the very expensive one by the airport. I'll ask some of the guys at work for the name/location of the one in Indiana.

Default update

Name is/was Clark county landfill.

From 65N, merge over to the right after exit 0 and follow signs to New Albany. Right before you get to New Albany (before Silver Creek) it's on left, behind S&S marine.

That is the one. It is far less than Louisville's landfill. The cost of a landfill does play a factor in whether or not large applicances and matresses make it there or on the side of the road. I cannot see how charging less for appliances, rugs, etc is a bad thing. No excuses for trash not making it to the landfill but it should be reasonably priced.
