I am looking at some duplex apartments (2 bedrooms) off of E. Washington St. in butchertown and was wondering how much is the average LG&E gas bill in the winter for heating/hot water/stove? The rent for these two bedrooms are pretty cheap (~500-550/month) compared to my downtown 1 bedroom apartment, but I don't want to get in a situation where with gas in the winter months Im paying more for my downtown apartment (~700/month). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Check the insulation. And then call LGand E and they will give you the past year's bills. They may not allow you to do it since your name is not on the account. So, ask the landlord to put you in contact with the previous (or current) tenant so you can get that info. Your question is just too vague to answer. It is like saying, how much does a Mercedes cost? I can get one for 10 grand used but there are new ones for 300k.
