Hello Locals,

My fiance and I are moving from upstate NY to Tampa, FL on June 1st. Before we move to our new locatio in Florida, we wanted to make a 6 day road trip through some of the Mid-West.

We're planning on stopping in Louisville, Nashville, Memphis and Atlanta. But I'd figure to ask locals what we should see in your town when we get there. We have a couple ideas but would love some advice on things to see, places to drink and eat. We're sports and music fans.

Also, any advice on travel (which routes to take) or ways to get around the city would be very helpful.

We thank you for any advice.

Thanks,

TrueBlue16

Its sounds like you might want to check out 4th Street Live in downtown (they have a website for a listing of restaurants, ect) and you may also want to drive through the Bardstown Road area. Fourth Street has a lot of nightlife and so does Bardstown Road. Bardstown Rd goes on for quite some time and has a definite arsty vibe to it and includes everything from Indian and Thai restaurants, bars, shops, and the comedy club. Theres a new sports bar in that area but I cant remember the name of it so maybe someone else can help out in that aspect.

Click my name and search my posts. You will get tons of good info. You should stay at the 21C hotel. Conde Naste rated it number one in the world, and it is a fraction of the price of luxury boutique hotels in larger cities.
