I stumbled across an this link confirming many new businesses that plan on coming to lubbock. Costco, Jared Jewlers, Simply MAC! Lubbock is moving right on up with these big city shopping locations

Jared will certainly be a boon to the area (it's going in at Canyon West), in addition to the Marsha Sharp Freeway expansion next to it. Very strategic location.

It looks like there will also be a new $85 million performing arts center going in downtown as well!
