Not set in stone, I guess, but:

Additionally, the progress toward revitalization in downtown has attracted the attention of nationally renowned companies. There are currently deals underway for three new hotels to join the redevelopment movement.

The names of those hotels, however, will remain undisclosed until the deals are finalized by all parties, according to downtown master developer Delbert McDougal.
This is good news for visitors who have tried to book rooms for Tech games, graduations, and other big events in the Hub City. I looked for rooms on a booking site last Friday for the next night (out of curiosity), and saw two local hotels with rooms available: one with room(s) for $259 and the other for $429. The second one got an average rating of 1.9 stars out of five from customers on the site (the first was rated 4.5--may have been a cancellation).

I would assume that one is going into the old Radisson. The MCM Elegante is sort of 'new' but it is just a rebranding of the old Holiday Inn. The new hotel on Marsha Sharp freeway (I think is supposed to be a Courtyard) seems to have slowed down in their building. It is not in a place I would want to stay, houses on all sides, in a not so savory neighborhood. Regardless, it is always good to have new places come into Lubbock.

Revitalization takes time. Those houses might not even be there in a few years. The concentration of development is currently taking place on the feeder road of the freeway, so a lot of zoning decisions still have to be meted out.
