Are you considering Overton Park? That's a newly-refurbished area near Texas Tech.

Overton park used to be full of cheap rundown houses. They did away with all those eyesores a few years ago and now it's great! New clean great restaurants beautiful apartments and other housing options close to Texas tech ...go red raiders!!!!!. stellar medical facilities. The Lubbock area is a great place to live nice people always something to do and discover. No crazy traffic or stifling humidity. sometimes the weather is strange but every place you live has crazy weather at times. You can see for miles and miles. Most of the time the weather is beautiful. Lakes close by. This part of Texas gets a bad rap....I love it here. lovely open welcoming. I've lived here 16 years. Moved from amarillo. Can't imagine living anywhere else.
