Hi Everyone,
Although I've lived in Lubbock for some time without a car, I have never had to use the Citibus system before. But now I'll be doing some research where I'll need to go to the TTU library once in a while and I thought the Citibus would be the best way. I have Route 5 near my apartment and the bus times and prices seem to fit fine with what I need and would be cheaper than having to take a taxi all the time.

Since I've never had to use the public transportation system in Lubbock, I'm a bit worried about it, although I know I shouldn't be. I lived in San Francisco for several years with no car and I used the bus/underground subway system there all the time and never had a problem. I imagine that not many people take the bus in Lubbock since most people have cars.

But I just wanted to check with people who might have used/are using the bus system. Is it totally safe and no issues there? That is, if it's just me and a few other people riding it, I shouldn't feel that it's unsafe, right?

Tam

I used when I was a student and never had any issues. I have friends and family who use it now while living in Lubbock and they've never had any problems with it. It was a real benefit to use.

My brother used Citibus for a few months and never had any problems apart from the fact that service is sparse enough it can be hard to schedule around it. I imagine it's pretty safe, really, just like most of Lubbock.
