Don’t know if this means the end of wakeboarding in North Overton, but I’d guess that most Tech students would welcome that.

Should be a great help to neighborhoods south and north of TTU.

Drainage improvements to help with Lubbock flooding - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

This is always a topic on social media when it rains hard, especially close to the Tech campus. Not sure how this impacts TTU itself, if at all. I did see a "wish list" item in the university's May Board of Regents meeting (page 9, #28 below) of a "north sewer force main." Not sure if that's related to the city's NW drainage project, but I remember Red Raider Avenue after a heavy rain before the Arizona State game last year. Both the Goin' Band & alumni band were forced to wade in a temporary stream on the way to the stadium. Think other parts can get pretty bad too. It is better than it used to be.


(The projects listed are in the five-year plan, but aren't set in stone.)
