I completely agree. In the next couple of years, Macon will offer a huge, and wide variety of jobs, many ranging from building planes, to ringing up top of the line clothes. Macon's growth may not be seen on paper yet, but the city has made a great turn around sense the 2000 census, wheather its a lower crime rate, a better job market, or just an overall better look, Macon has really turned around, and will continue turning around for the better, and another great milestone will be when Maconites hit the polls a change the way we look at city politicians.
Great thanks go to Mercer University for taking one of Macon's most crime filth neighborhoods and turning it into, a residential paradise, they should also be recognized for there ever expanding engineering programs, which is in corrospondent with may of the jobs in Middle Georgia especially RAFB.
The Medical Center of Central Georgia ( MCCG ) also deserves praise for offering some of the best healthcare in the world, while expanding jobs, and paying out some of highest salaries in Georgia. The city of Warner Robins deserve credit as well, it sat on the back burner of Middle Georgia for years, now the city is really starting to sprout, and without Warner Robins who know where Macon would be.
Macon is also spreading from it traditional roots of fast food, and is expanding into the light of fine cusine, and rare immentities, especially in the downtown area. Education is on the rise, and the city is becoming a great tourist attraction with the expanding of the riverfront park, the larger Harriet Tubman Museum expecting a grand-opening next year, and news of a new park that will be larger the Macon's famous Central City Park, located on the Ocmulgee River. What is shaping up to become one of Macon's best baseball teams, will attract many fans. A new mall, and the ever popular Bass Pro Shops will change the way Maconites, and the people of Middle Georgia look at shopping, and much needed transportation improvements. Whether it be the well awaited improvements at the airport or the little things going on I-475. Macon has very high potential, and with the right investors, and little less negative talk, Macon can strive to put Middle Georgia on top again. I lve Macon but a one point in time, it was very hectic but it has really improved over the last two years.

What we lovingly call "HotLanta" - Atlanta! Now it's 6 lane bumper-to-bumper mad dash traffic 24/7!

The funny thing is that the Macon paper tried to get a comment from Mayor Jack Ellis. His spokesman said he was out of the country. No doubt on one his usual trips to Mecca, Medina, or Africa on official Macon city business. I wonder how the Mayor will fly back into Macon. I suppose he can always charter a plane to fly back home.

Its still a place to land private planes, and im sure he doesnt have his own private plane, so hes probably going to land at Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta and travel down I-75 like he has always done. Also the Government requires this airport to be in service and when Delta leaves it want be, so the government will award a contract to a contractor to service the airport with planes, and flights. Also Delta gives back to Macon as it is, it will be adding several jobs at its plant in Macon, and its a huge supporter of the Cherry Blossom Festival, I dont think they will be gone for long.

Yeah...I`m sure other carriers will be knocking down the door trying to get the business of the huge numbers that fly out of Macon..LOL...and of course, since Macon is a Mecca for the wealthy, I`m sure all those private jets will keep the airport busy....

Yea your absolutely true, I love the sound of the airplanes flying over my house 2 and 3 o clock in the morning but I'd love to be able to fly out of Warner RObins, to bad that would require hoping on board with troops, because there is no comercial airport in Warner RObins.
