I agree. It is an amazing turnaround and it will continue. There is great demand for intown housing and that isn't subsiding anytime soon, hence the continued redevelopment in the downtown and intown areas. I went with a group to the Rookery last Friday night and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Ten years ago that didn't happen downtown. It is quite the change.
I want to say it is the old cleaners location a block behind the post office. If so, it would have to at least be several stories tall to fit in tnis much space. Midrise, I don't know, but the parcel of land isn't huge if it is what Im thinking it is. More should be released soon.
Updated article confirms it is the area behind the post office going towards the interstate. 4 buildings 4 stories tall. One thing about this is that it will be close to some rough areas. Hopefully it will push the blight out and make the area area better. Fantastic development for downtown.
