"The fact that black people will vote for anybody that is black on the ballot", that is absolutly false about the ENTIRE race of black people, and you very much are sterotyping the entire race. I never once said that if you say something wrong about Obama your racist, I could care less what you think of Obama, but when you continue to nag about the race of the man, its ridculous. We all, and I mean everybody here knows what color the man is, and we dont need you to continue to go on about his race, yes its important, but to determine your vote by whether the man is black or white, is riduculous.

This is directly for you, and open your eyes wide so you can understand everything im about to type, Peelo, you are a arrogant, snobby, disrespectful, close-minded, and you'll never, I promise you never get far in life with that attitude, and you can take that how you want, but I will NOT continue to sit here and let myself or anyone else you happen to be sterotyping be disrespected.

LOL...I`m very far in life thank you very much....and moving forward.

You type one sentence (out of context-because I was speaking of Macon voters and also said it was proven by Ellis` second term- AND, I might add, its the same thing you said in your post) and then accuse me of "continuously" mentioning his race or the black race?
You are a moron....LOL

Default block voting

voting in blocks based on the race of the candidate is racism. I guess we are still waiting for the day that we follow Martin Luther's dream of "judging based on the content of one's character rather than the color of their skin."

Whether anyone admits it or not, there IS such a thing as black racism, and voting is done based on skin color much too often. The Jack Ellis thing was a prime Georgia example, and the cocaine-convicted Marion Barry being reelected in DC is just another example.

Furthermore, discussing facts and statistics is not racism or harassment. If the board moderators can't tolerate this thread, we are already "back in the USSR".

To be honest Irish, I wish we had a candidate who 1) would share a remedy for the TRILLION dollar debt associated with SS and Medicare 2) Who understood that Islam doesnt allow for peace...its convert or die and Israel can give all the land in the world and the US can do anything and everything and it isnt going to change the fact that they hate us, they hate Israel and pulling out of Iraq without accomplishing what we started out to do is only going to be seen as a sign of weakness and the crap really will hit the fan. 3) who understands the seriousness of controling our borders. Because the sad fact is this....we are tolerant of these jihadist in America already...."Healthcare for every American" doesnt mean squat if a couple suitcase nuclear bombs goes off at once.
Just my .02.....

Default buying votes

When is everyone going to realize that the Democratic candidates, above all other things, are BUYING VOTES? "Healthcare for everyone!" when we can't even keep Social Security solvent?????????????

Who in their right mind is going to launch into advocating for federally-funded healthcare when they can't keep your Social Security coming to you when you're 99 and your teeth are falling out? I'll tell you who----the Democrats and CNN. CNN unabashedly promoted nationalized healthcare in a special presentation by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, chief medical correspondent for CNN. It was titled "Broken Government". Isn't that a neutral name for a debate about healthcare? Of course, he once worked in Hillary's office as a "non-partisan" researcher into national health systems.

And what does that have to do with the quality of life in Georgia? Dr. Gupta's last line of his presentation was "you can determine this with your vote on election day!" Of course, according to him------all things are solved with a BOUGHT VOTE! Supposedly, once you vote the right way (Democratic) the money just starts flowing down from above, and all problems are solved!
My warning to Georgians is.......watch out! You may even vote for a Republican candidate who is going to launch into everyone being forced to buy a product (health insurance) such as Romney initiated in Massachusetts. After a forced purchase (or face up to a $1000 annual fine) comes the slippery slope of how much the taxpayer will have to pay for "low income", "unable to purchase" "citizens".

Watch out Georgia, for those who want to buy your vote!

Wow, the Obama war is more exciting than the infamous Macon-Columbus battles

I think that Disgusta is correct about legitimate criticism of Obama being touted as racism. According to newspaper accounts (I've read several newspaper accounts of the Obama-Rezko relationship, I think this was mentined in the Boston Globe) Obama got more than just a sweet deal on his own home, he also got 10% on at least one of Rezko's deals. Obama supported Rezko's bid for public financing. The Chicago Sun Times, who endorsed Obama, also said that Obama needed to come clean about that 17 year relationship with Rezko.

Thanks to the poster who put out the website for Obama's church. I had read elsewhere about that church and pastor who is Obama's mentor. I immediately forwarded that website to some very liberal friends who keep touting that "Obama is above race". If one simply replaces "Black" with "white" in the section of the website about the church, we'd hear howls across the country about racism.

IMHO Obama's popularity is because a lot of well-meaning folks think he represents the way they want to believe the country is. If the country were truly race neutral and following MLK's famous saying, Obama would NOT be in the national position he is now because of lack of experience and accomplishments.

Personally, though I have no dog in this hunt, it's amazing how many people say or imply that Obama is the personification of JFK, MLK (and my all time favorite, "the re-incarnation of Abraham Lincoln" -- that's rich!)

Default The way I see it...

The way I see it is that the Democrats would like to have a more socialist nation and I'm not into that at all.

In general, they believe that we are fighting the wrong war (we are not), they think that you can make peace with an enemy that has sworn to wipe you off the face of the earth (you can not), they will raise taxes to pay for a national health care system that can not work and has not worked anywhere that it has been or is being done, they believe in legal murder (abortion), and as far as immigration goes they appear to be all over the place and flip-flopping.

As the Democratic candidates go:
- Clinton will say whatever her audience wants to hear
- Obama is a slick talker and I don't trust his morals or agree with his platform.

On the Republican side, as a party I believe they need to move back to the more conservative side. They need to get back to smaller government and not waiver on tough moral and ethical issues such as abortion and same sex marriage.

The candidates:
- Huckabee seems to be the only one that will stand by his convictions and morals. He believes in his Christian faith and it directs his decisions - this is what I want to see. Also, he is the only one that will fight for the Fair Tax system which we seriously need.
- McCain, well he is too moderate and left for my taste. I'm not sure where he stands on immigration because he may/may not have changed his position - I'm not really clear on this.
- Romney has serious issues in my eyes and that is a shame because I believe that he would be could for our economy. He is a Mormon and I do not want a Mormon as President of my Christian founded nation.
Even worse is that he said that his faith will NOT come into play in his presidency - now that is double-minded and even more concerning to me than his faith. It tells me that he can be swayed and moved on critical moral and ethical issues. If this sounds tough, it is.

We are in a time and age where we need to make a tough and unfailing stand for absolute truth to be returned to this great and mighty Nation. The issues that are being raised - immigration, economy, health care, the war - these are all important issues but the issue that we need to be most concerned about is the moral and ethical decay of our country. There is an absolute Truth, "Live and let live" is not right, same sex marriage and families are wrong. We need to get back to a nation of families. The family needs to consist of a female mother and a male father that are happily married and take an active role in raising up their children in the Truth.

This is just the way I see it. You may not agree with me and that is fine. If we all agreed on every issue than we as a nation would never move forward.

JFK spent 14 years in the US Congress before becoming President.. Obama has spent less than 3 years in the US Senate.. BIG difference! PLus some of the comments Obama has made regarding how he would handle foreign policy should seriously worry ALL Americans.
