Any recommendations for trips within 3-5 hours drive from Madison in April with toddlers? We can stay overnight or nights. Museums, theme parks, anything that might hold an interest (short though it may be...) for toddlers. Thank you for any suggestions!

Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. I still have memories of taking my son there as a toddler.

Drive down to Harvard, IL and ride the train in from there to the inner city for the Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium. That would be fun!

I still can't wrap my brain around "3-5 hour drive with toddlers".
