Default Medical/Physical Therapy in Madison

Hi. My husband is considering volunteering for an Air Force Recruiting job near Madison. We are trying to get a feel for the place. I am a physical therapist and we have a 2 y.o daughter. My question is - are there many medical facilities in the area. Any idea on the physical therapy job market in particular. Thanks in advance!

Madison has several big hospitals, search their websites:

St. Mary's:

UW Hospital:

My wife said that as she was looking for CNA jobs, she came across many PT openings, so it sounds like there's a good market here for you.

Thanks! Checked out the links and looks like there is a good market there for PTs. Also gave me an idea of salary range to expect so I can compare that with the cost of living. I still need to check out property taxes. What would you expect for a $300,000 home for example?

But don't forget, the entire area has great parks, including state parks, lakes, music, art, farmers markets, festivals, organized sport acitivites, most of which is no or little cost. Like most things in life, you will get what you pay for.Public services come with a price tag. If it's not worth it to you then move further out and commute farther.
