All you US Cellular customers are in luck now. Since Google bought Motorola, you can now get Android smart phones with all the excellent reception Motorola is known for. I have had US Cellular since cell phones came in a bag, and recently was able to ditch Verizon (HATE THEM!) where I was getting my internet access from. I bought two Motorolas during their buy one get one free promotion a month ago, and have one of them set up in my house to pull in my own Wi-Fi.
I do admit reception is only okay, while they have the capability of 4G, I live in a valley surrounded by trees and there is no way to get 4G anyway, no matter what you do. However, my Motorola gives me better coverage than my Samsung android phone ever did.

Sweet! I was just talking to a friend at work who is a die hard ATT guy. He said you need ATT if you want that Iphone. I think I'll keep my trusty US cellular and wait till 2014 to get the iphone! Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, you really can't beat US Cellular for service and the price. I just read a couple of reviews where people who were die hard iPhone fans switched to the Samsung Galaxy III last night. Now I have a quandary. I'm a huge Apple fan as I do a lot of graphic design work and the mice/track pads are a huge advantage. Also most design software had a better user interface on the Mac side.

I haven't been unhappy with my android (Samsung Galaxy III) per say, I just imagine the iPhone being better because it is an Apple product. I have been frustrated by the lack of volume in the ear piece and I've started having dropped calls, but I got an app that has boosted the volume and they just did something last night that should help with the dropped calls.

Oh, and other articles I read said the iPhone might be available before 2014 depending on when the next iPhone upgrade comes out.

i'm not an i-phone guy (stuck with a droid workphone lol tough it is good for email service w/ our network), but my wife and daughter/son in law all have iphones and love them. From watching my wife do things compared to my droid, i'd prefer the iphone as well. Not sure if it has any bearing on when the next iphone change is coming, but i did see in an ad down here that (i think) ATT was now offering the iphone 5 for only $99 when upgrading plans. Normally when the top phone starts to see discounting, there's a new one in the pipeline.

But that's great for the US Cellular users to finally get that option

Looks like US Cellular's CEO said in an investor earnings call on Friday that they expect to carry the iPhone by the end of this year. I'm very curious to see what the plan pricing and features will be. I'll need to see if upgrading my grandfathered plan to a new data plan will be worth it.

[color="Sienna"]I have what I can afford - Tracfone - but in Dekorra/Poynette, service is spotty at best, and the phone insists on engaging 'roam' mode, no matter how I've changed the settings. Very, VERY frustrating!

Being from the map dot of Chilton, I had great service with US Cellular. Even up in Door County where nothing else seemed to work. Just my own experience though.

Typically in the country go with US Cell, in cities it's sprint and Verizon.
