Another place in that area I'd suggest looking at is High Point Woods, at the corner of Watts and High Point. I lived there for a year and loved everything about it except my commute. The apartment was in good condition, quiet, well insulted, and the staff responded quickly to any maintenance requests.

Now is such a great time to buy
I understand that you want to rent till you know your way around town, but now is such a great time to buy, prices are still lower, interest is still low, etc. We've looked at quite a few 2 unit homes, duplexes that would be perfect to live in one unit and rent the other, which would then cover over 1/2 your mortgage.

I understand that you want to rent till you know your way around town, but now is such a great time to buy, prices are still lower, interest is still low, etc. We've looked at quite a few 2 unit homes, duplexes that would be perfect to live in one unit and rent the other, which would then cover over 1/2 your mortgage.
