Pardeeville - Lake Pond Estates (Portage, Chelsea: homes, purchase, contractor)

Hello All! Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

My husband and I are looking to purchase our first home in Pardeeville, in the Lake Pond Estates. This town is near Portage, Wisconsin. When my husband brought this up at work, a few of his co-workers had heard of an issue involving the development. They said that the contractor built these homes without any permits, and ended up being sued by the town. I am not sure if this information is true, and am unable to find anything on the Web. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this, and could help us out.

I would stay as far away from that development as you can! Flood plain. No wonder there's still a hadnful of lots available. Your best bet is to try Pacific township just west of Pardeeville on Highway "P" Turn right on Blank road and theres a new development called "Pacific Ridge" Beautiful views. I mean Beautiful. If I was staying here in Wisconsin I would consider building there. I'm from Pacific and the area is really qauint-hope I spelled that right. Very peaceful.
