We are considering looking at a house for sale in Oregon this weekend. Does anyone know anything about the town or schools there?
Thanks very much!

Rachel

My wife and kids are living there now. I will be soon, though we don't know if we will live there.

The town is "Mayberry-ish." There's a small bowling alley, a homey diner, and an EXCELLENT pizza place called "Maria's." I think there is also a small "new age" store, a tavern, and a package store, plus a couple filling stations. Oh, also a nice IGA supermarket named "Bill's", that has about everything you need.

The school my kids are at seems just fine. None of the urban dangers. Well structured.

If you take a look around, please post back your impressions!!!

Here is the town square:

We recently moved to Oregon from the NY metro area and are very pleased. Small town living, great schools and so close to both ends of the Madison.

We had quite a time finding a house we liked, but got a great deal once we found one; this is a fantastic time to be buying!

Smile Town of Oregon

Great schools-love the town. Only minutes from Madison, great community.\

Good Luck!
