Nope, but we came home with a bunch of ramps for tomorrow morning's frittata from Harmony Valley Farm, some cheddar and Swiss from Hook's Cheese, and about 40 pounds of beef, chicken and pork from Pec Valley Farm - a great haul! Not as much hydroponic stuff out this year as in previous years; we usually find lots of hothouse tomatoes and winter spinach, but neither was much in evidence today. But the spring is young yet, and we'll be back again many times!

I loved the photos you posted of the farmer's market! Thank you! As we continue to look toward moving to the Madison area, it is great to see local photos, esp. of places like the farmer's market. I love farmer's markets! My hubby and I couldn't believe that it takes place right there at the Capitol and people were sitting on the grass in front. Wow!
The market looks fabulous, and I truly look forward to attending it in the future!

December 9, 2009
Madison, along with much of southern Wisconsin, got clobbered with a nice pre-Christmas gift from the weather gods over the night of December 8-9. There's no worries now that we'll have a brown Christmas this year.
This is what our street looked like this morning:
That driveway just kept getting longer and longer all morning long.
Somehow, I don't think we're going to be grilling any brats in the next week or two....
We did eventually locate the front walkway up to the door, thank goodness; I was starting to wonder for a while if it had been blown away.
We wound up setting up and decorating the Christmas tree today, since both of our employers shut down for the duration of the snow. Hopefully the plows will make it down our tertiary street overnight, so we can both get back to work on Thursday!
