Has anyone tried Dickey's BBQ pit near East Towne? Awesome BBQ chain from the Dallas area.

Speaking of BBQ, the better half and I went to Smoky Jons #1 BBQ on Packers Avenue. It was delicious. However $28 for two to eat when all we had was a pulled pork sandwich and a turkey sandwich. Eh who am I kidding, I'd rather pay $28 at this place than some chain.

I agree, Smoky Jon's BBQ is 100% worth it. He takes BBQ to a whole new level. I must go there again, soon! Almost gourmet, without the atmosphere.

(Asian) Indian cuisine at Swagat on North High Point Road. The taste of their food is closest to the authentic Indian food. The lunch buffet is cheap and has lots of options. I travel 114 miles one way to eat there, when I could also go to an Indian restaurant in Appleton which is closer.

Thai cuisine at Sa-Bai Thong on University Ave. Nice food, great Thai tea.

+1 on Swagat. Best Indian in town.

My favorites are Eno Vino, Louisianne's (New Orleans style)in Middleton, and El Dorado on willy st for Southwestern.
I have tried a new restaurant called Forequarter on E Johnson st twice in the past couple of weeks and it may quickly become a favorite.

A buddy of mine lived and studied in Beijing for a few years and he swears by the Dumpling Haus at the Hilldale Mall.

So I've lived here for 16 going on 17 months now and I've ate at some many darned restaurants here. My fiancee and I fanatics when it comes to going out. Tonight we dined in at Bellini Italian Restaurant and boy was it delicious. We've also frequented Mi Cocina Mexican Restaurant in Middleton. Taqueria Guadalajara is fantastic but who knows when they will reopen from that late winter fire they experienced. I've ate out so much that I've established a yelp account and have submitted over 100 reviews to restaurants. The Tipsy Cow on King Street has fantastic cheese curds and Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Oliva Restaurant on Old Sauk and High Point is also very good, I had there Margherita Pizza. And we can't forget about Pizza Brutta. A family member of mine recently opened up Gates and Brovi on Monroe Street. I love the fish fry there.

Lets keep this thread going.

After hearing so much about Swagat, I figured I was in for a treat. I love Indian food. In Seattle I went to several places, but my top 3 were just amazing (and within walking distance from where I lived.)

Unfortunately I was very disappointed when I went to Swagat. The service and the prices were excellent, however the food was no where near as good as any of the Indian restaurants I used to dine in Seattle. Also, the chai didn't taste anything like what I'm used to.

So far, I love Madison much more then Seattle. But Seattle does have Madison beat if Swagat is the best Indian offered around here. If anyone has any rec's of other Indian Restaurants for me to try out, please do.
