Default Verona/Madison - Things to do

I'm heading up to Verona for training at Epic Aug 3-7th.

Anything going on at night during those dates?

What are the good places to eat?

Thanks!

Get someone to show you around downtown. It's not near Epic, but there's not a lot of interesting stuff on that side of town.

I recommend the Great Dane Brewpub for dinner/drinks. There's one out in Fitchburg, so that would be nearer Epic, or there's one downtown as well. Madison is full of great restaurants, my favorites include Chautara and Himal Chuli on State Street, the Weary Traveler on Willy St., the Dardanelles and Pizza Brutta on Monroe, Roman Candle and Glass Nickel for pizza, and Tex Tubb's Taco Palace for tex-mex.

My recommendations for nightlife: Monday check out the Clyde Stubblefield band at The Frequency; Tuesday hit up Rockstar Gomeroke (live band karaoke) at the High Noon Saloon, Wednesday is 1/2 price bottle of wine and swing dance night at the Brink, karaoke at Azzalino's, and "Little Black Dress" night at Icon (free wine for ladies in a black dress after 8 pm). Thursday head down to the Memorial Union Terrace for a pitcher of beer and live music by the lake.

Hope that helps!
