Hi,

I am living out in Seattle now but from Wisconsin originally. Out here I have gotten in touch with some powerful and authentic traditions of shamanism, particularly the Shipibo tradition of the Amazon. I also have an interest in North American shamanism and Nepalese shamanism. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any practice or ceremony groups in Madison with an authentic lineage to any of these (or maybe other) traditions of shamanism. I want to move back to Wisconsin and Madison sounds like the best match for me, but a serious consideration for me is whether I will be able to continue the work I have started in these traditions.

Alternatively, if there are no such groups, I was wondering if anyone has heard talk of people who might be interested in working with these traditions. There's a possibility I could arrange for some of my teachers to visit from time to time if I were able to organize a group of people who were interested.

Peace-

Hi. If I were you I would contact the folks at Shakti, Shangrila, and Mimosa. These are I believe the most spiritually eclectic shops in the city--veritable spiritual oases that sell books and gifts from a wide variety of cultures. Mimosa also offers classes and other events for spiritual seekers, so they would most likely be able to point you in the right direction. Just google them and use the contact information posted. I hope this helps.

Namaste
