Default PODS storage

Hello, has anyone ever used a PODS storage container in Madison? I've read some horror stories about other locations but can't find any good reviews?? Can anyone verify that the Madison location is climate controlled? There was no answer there. We are moving from Mad to Mil and the 800-number said the POD would stay in Madison. Does anyone have an alternative to this company? Thanks -LK

ABF has a U-Pack option where they drop off a container at your place, allow you a few days to load it, then they pick it up and move to your new location where you get a few more days to unload it. Just curious as to why you wouldn't use U-Haul or something, are you planning on storing it for a while or something?

we used pods when we moved here. not sure about the climate control but all our stuff was perfectly intact and dry despite a week of torrential rains. good customer service, they picked up and dropped off exactly when they said they would both in our home state and in madison. charged exactly what they said online. couldn't have asked for an easier and cheaper way to move cross-country.

Default Madison Area PODS

I am the franchise owner of PODS in Madison and Milwaukee. We have just built a new storage facility in Madison on Femrite Drive, just off of Stoughton Road. It is heated, but not air conditioned -- and this summer, temps never got over 80 degrees indoors.

I hope that we have built a solid reputation for reliability and service in Madison ( and Southeastern Wisconsin ) over the past six years. If you have any specific questions about our prices or services, Moderator cut: contact information. Our Madison office is only staffed part-time, as the manager does a number of pick-ups and deliveries himself. You may want to check out the BBB website in Milwaukee about us or check out Moderator cut: web link.

Thanks for all the responses! Yes, thanks to this economy, there is a great chance that we will be emptying this home well before we've got another one lined up, so we can't use UHaul this time. And we could very well have to store things over several seasons. To the franchisee... I did attempt to call your Milwaukee office before my original post but they were not able to tell me anything specifically about the climate control at the Madison facility, which is where they told me my stuff would be stored. I believe the rep told me something like "[it says here that] it's climate controlled so it must be climate controlled." I wanted temperature ranges because I have a lot of art supplies that don't tolerate heat or cold, so thanks very much for your response. I appreciate it.

Default PODS Madison

We keep the temps at 50 degrees or above for winter(the sprinkler system cannot be allowed to freeze), with summer, spring and fall most likely below 80 degrees(although the facility is not air conditioned). Moderator cut: contact information
