Thoughts on great places to work in Madison
Hello to the folks in Mad City. I'm just looking for some information/advice on companies in the Madison metro. There seems to be quite a few home grown businesses in Madison, so getting good info is a tougher than some other places. Do any of the working professionals out there have suggestions for great places to work in the Madison metro (good working environment) that hire IT people (maybe not immediately, because of the downturn, but in a normal economy). It wouldn't necessary have to be an IT company, but just a place with IT positions. If you have a little extra time, a brief bit about why you think it's a great place work would be a bonus. Thanks in advance.

Epic Systems frequently comes up as a good place to work. Doubt they're hiring right now though.
WPS also seems to be a good place to work.

Epic is hiring some people now, though they are looking for undergraduates straight out of college, rather than experienced professionals. The economy is making it hard for anyone to find work.

When I left Madison about a month ago, it didn't seem anybody was doing much hiring of any kind.
