I am so very glad we chose to got to Flood Brothers Dairy farm in Clinton for open farm days this year. I had never been to such a large dairy operation. The milk 1600 cows twice a day and the farm actually has over 3000 cows all together including all the calfs of all ages and the "retired" and dry cows. This is a class act operation. If you ever get a chance to visit it - do so.

We enjoyed going to Pineland Farm in New Gloucester today. The kids loved the calves especially. It was neat for me to see what Pineland has become since the institution closed in the 90's.

Pineland is very nice now. Unfortunately the people who actually benefited from Pineland as a State mental health fascility have been put out on the streets of Portland and surrounding areas.

Just as a point of clarification, Pineland Farms wasn't responsible for the closing the the mental health facility. The state closed the facility in 1996 and the Libra Foundation purchased the land in 2000.
