I'm in the middle of The Passage by Justin Cronin. The first half is nail-biting excitement, then it kind of slacks off but is still really good. Loved Under The Dome by Stephen King!!!

I felt the same about The Passage. If you haven't tried it yet, The Strain by Chuck Hogan is great. I found the action was timed a bit better. I love the feel of a paperback but have asked husband for the nook for xmas.

Loved "Under the Dome", "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and "The Girl That Played With Fire". I have a stack of Books to read yet, Baldacci's "Hour Game" is next on the list.

My favorite read of the summer.... The Art of Racing in the Rain

It is one of the best books I have ever read......I cant recommend it enough.....but it is such a compelling story and such a page turner that you will finish it in less than a week.....it is entertaining, instructive, comical and beautiful. Like I say, I cant recommend it highly enough....I cant imagine anyone not liking it.

I also recently read The Shack.....I like it too....but I cant recommend it quite as wholeheartedly....it tends to preach.....and I am not at all sure I am buying. But it is a good summer read.
