I would like to get here this year:
Fryeburg Fair (http://www.fryeburgfair.com/Homepage/Homepage.html - broken link) I've never been, but my daughter has gone with family friends the last two years and it's her favorite fair.
I didn't get out and about for the festivities this past weekend... I was out and about, but not there.

Don't forget about the 'biggest' one we have here in Bangor - American Folk Festival - runs August 27 - 29th. It's FREE but would be great if you could make a donation as it does cost to put it on. Great food and music and also craft vendors on the Waterfront.

I'm dying to get to the salmon/pirate festival in Eastport! Isn't in November? Or is that the pirate festival in Key West that's in November? I can't keep them straight................

Molly - I don't think there is one on right now. Bangor State Fair ended Sunday and there was the Outdoor Bangor Art's Festival on Saturday.
