Default Where in Maine Would You Live if You Could?

If you didn't need to find a job and so could live anywhere in Maine--where in Maine would you pick and why?

It must be an area you are personally familiar with, not an area you only read about.

I would live in as small a town on the coast as possible. Up around Rockland/Bar Harbor would be nice. Perhaps Eastport.

The Lincoln area. Not crowded, but a full service town. Recreation abounds in all directions.

I'd spend the money to completely restore my old fixer upper to it's fullest potential and stay right here in Brewer.

I'd buy a vacation home in Wells Beach though, as close to the sand as possible, and try to recreate some of those happy childhood vacation memories that made want to live here in the first place.

I have only been in Maine for 5 years.

I searched a lot of Maine to find the right 'fit' for us. Before moving here.

I think that we found it.

The reasons that we like living here are plenty. Though realistically whenever I have listed them before, folks get insulted. It would be wiser for me not to list them. As I have no desire to further enrage anyone.

I'm already where I want to be?

OK, if we're going to engage in a little wild abandon and escape from reality for a moment, I'd like to have a house on the coast in Wash. cty, another somewhere near Rockland/Camden/Belfast (that castle looking one would be nice), another somewhere in the upper NW area (very remote), and I'd like to buy up all the land around me here for a couple of miles.

Oh, and I'd like a Bell Jet Ranger so I can quickly hop on over to whichever place I feel like being at at the moment.

Sorry to have to ask, but where is Waltham?
