Happy (a few hours early) Turkey Day to my Maine CDer friends. Fern, I'm so happy for you and just a tad jealous, but if all goes well we hopefully will be there for next year. Maybe......... Now that I accepted that we wouldn't be able to move up again for years hubby is suddenly incredibly intent on getting up there ASAP! Perhaps it has something to do with the for sale and for rent ads that were in the latest edition of The Quoddy Times we got in this past weekend!!
Very well put Cornerguy!! And yes, a two day feast sounds like a great idea to me too Maineah!!
Have a wonderful day full of the people you care for most!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This is our second Maine Thanksgiving. Both years we've been invited to new friend's homes for dinner. That has never happened anywhere else we've lived. I'm so thankful to be able to call Maine home!

Happy Thanksgiving. At this time of year, I miss helping my mom with Thanksgiving dinner, cooked on our kitchen wood stove......I used to help my dad stack the wood in the woodshed......he cut it himself and hauled it out of the woods with his tractor (of course I would ride along).....great memories....much to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Zymer - maybe we can get together next Thanksgiving! We are moving up (finally!) next weekend (12/3/10) and will be just north of Bangor
