Smile Need help finding a place to live in Maine!

I am from New England (born and raised in R.I.) I have been out of the area for 25 years. I haved lived in Kansas for the past 8. My hubby,I and 2 daughters would like to move back. I would like to live in Maine. I vacationed many times on Bailey and Orr's Island and in Sebago, Maine. I love York beach. We just got back from there 2 weeks ago.

Does anyone have any ideas on a town that would meet our requirements. My hubby wants a small town, yet not too far from a bigger one. He is talking 3,000 or less population. It needs to be about 1 1/2 hrs from Portland, Hancock or Scarborough. My 3 1/2 yr old needs to see a pediatric endocronologist twice a year. I also have a 7 1/2 yr. old I want to take into account.

The biggest thing, besides the small town, is that my hubby would like some land (3 - 10 acres) and it needs to be on water. Yep, he's a tuff one, but this is where we'll spend the rest of our lives. Any ideas????
Thank you!
